Kitchens That Rock - In Frederick Sucks

This is the most unprofessional company we have ever had to deal with! What they did to us is “FRAUD”. They have absolutely no integrity!!

We bought a large remnant (over 8 ft long) from these guys - we wanted to have one seamless piece and they told us that the piece we were buying was long enough and would work, so e put a deposit on it. Several weeks later they came out to measure and we talked to them on the phone three times prior to installation and at no time did they indicated anything had changed.

But guess what happened when they showed up to do the install??? You are not going to believe this… They came with a six foot and two foot piece and when I asked why it was in two pieces they said they couldn’t get an 8ft piece down our stairs. Now we have gotten an 8ft by 4ft pool table down the stairs but they cant’ get an 8ft by2ft piece of granite down. The other granite companies that we got estimates from said it would be no problem so why was it a problem for these guys??

Next we were told they would seam it together and you would not be able to see it. That must of been a joke because the two pieces they seamed together did not even match and they were offset by 1/4 inch and to top it off they put the seam out on the end where it is most noticable versus putting it in the corner where it would be less noticable.

I told them it was unacceptable and they demanded payment, then the owner, Phil came over and tried to convince me it was good work. During the conversation, Phil slipped and said that my piece of granite had been sold and they had worked very hard at trying to get these two pieces to match.

WHAT?? Now the truth has come out! They sold the piece of granite that I bought and were trying to pawn off some SCRAPS/LEFTOVERS on me! You have got to be kidding.

At no time before the installation, did they ever tell me they had sold my peice of granite or that my counter would be in two pieces instead of one.

These guys think that consumers are stupid and they told me I didn’t have a choice in the matter, that it was up to them!! Can you believe it! They told me I did not leave a deposit on the granite but when I produced the receipt all they could say was they didn’t know.

Let me tell you what really happened! Kitchens That Rock in Frederick, tried to pull a fast one. They sold my piece of granite either intentionally or unintentionally but instead of being upfront and telling me, they decided they would take some scraps/leftovers and make my counter and the whole thing about they couldn’t get one piece down my stairs was just bull shit. They didn’t have a piece long enough for my counter so they just made that shit up.

They told me if I did pay for their crappy counter they were going to remove it. I said “go ahead because it was an embarrassment and I did not want it in my home.”

What a joke this company is. Now they have been caught but instead of trying to do the right thing and bring me the counter that I ordered, they just left us hanging. Did not admit to their mistake, did not offer to make it right, nothing. Said they call us but didn’t.

Bottom line - these guys are crooks, unprofessional, no integrity, they don’t stand behind their product or workmanship!!! Save yourself the time and aggrevation and go find another reputable company to deal with.
